Born and raised in Menlo Park, California, Nightfist is an enigmatic, towering five-piece built on a foundation of pummeling drums and bass, erected by freight train guitar chop and topped off by driving keyboards that guide the songs forward with relentless tunnel vision despite more twists and turns than a classic murder mystery. Equal parts early Metallica, Rush, Yes, Dream Theater and Iron Maiden, the journey is half the fun of the quest, and victory is most certainly theirs. It's not total music, it's total domination.
