Pitchfork wrote:Triumphal Athens instrumentalists Maserati and Pittsburgh fake-horror-movie soundtrackers Zombi will release a split EP on Temporary Residence February 3. This album, which is all new material, will doubtless be pretty badass, but Temporary Residence is limiting it to 1000 copies because they hate us.

Still savouring the memory of that last half-joking remark.

No plans for vinyl? Really? It's 'pretty much one of the best albums we've ever released' and all 1000 copies of a $120 vinyl box set from the same artist just sold out, and there are really no plans for vinyl?

I nearly died reading this line!! Laughed and coughed my beer up into my sinuses.

I think he meant "two dozen" rather than "half a dozen", though.

Really anxious to hear this album. When are the preorders shipping, Mr. TRL? It says "on or around Feb. 15" - but that's a federal holiday, so I'm hoping "around" means "before".... ;-)

We'll have 'em packed up and ready to go on the 12th, so some might go out on the 12th and the rest on the 16th.

I'm sure it'll happen eventually - maybe the songs will be part of Life Through Bombardment Vol. 2 ?
These days I'm just happy to get my music on ANY physical format at all.

Not sure what this is referring to.

you know, i'm really starting to dig this album. the vocals are akin to Eno albums like "Another Day On Earth" or "Another Green World", so i can roll with that. it's a grower.

Yeah, Another Green World has been the most common comparison, which I can hear and am a huge fan of.

Should I be getting concerned if I haven't gotten mine yet? I preordered and my mailbox has been sadly empty.
